It was decided at the ACM (Annual Council Meeting) last month to write a blog from an Elf’s perspective – FC is keen on exploring ideas from your world. We’ve had some disasters trying to integrate some of them, fitting tyres to the sleigh was an interesting one... Anyway, going back to the meeting, I decided to volunteer to write the blog. I’m still not completely sure what I have let myself in for but I do hope you will come to enjoy it.
Maybe I should introduce myself. I am Ethrin. I’m a 5th generation Elf of the North Pole Community. I live with 952 elves, 242 Reindeer and, of course, Mr and Mrs FC. You’ll probably know FC as Father Christmas. We also know him as Father Chris. You may also know him by many other names such as Santa Claus or Sinter Klaas, St Nicholas, Père Noël, Babbo Natale or Julenissen. He has many different names from delivering presents to children in many different countries.
I am going to start posting daily from the evening of 30th November, the start of our Thewin Advent, right up to Christmas Eve.
I look forward writing more about my life and our adventures in the North Pole. Hopefully our work will be running smoothly but knowing FC there could be some surprises - he does like to try out new things! I'll keep you posted...

About Me
The idea for this blog came from a conversation I had with a friend a couple of weeks ago. I was reminded of the time when I was 14 years old and my Dad owned a Post Office.
For a couple of years, we created a post box for children to post letters to Father Christmas and - with his permission of course! - I replied to each one with a hand written individual letter describing the adventures of his elves, and their lives in the North Pole.
I am now a Behavioural Coach specialising in working with adults, and children, with M.E/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (see www.raincastles.co.uk/).

My name is Moonmenshine and me and Patch,although well old now are still Elflore Heroes from the days of non electric sleighs and navigation by stars (none of this satnav stuff back then) so we was wonderin' if we are getting a mention an if we is gettin' royalties like?
